Safety The FAA sets the basic safety, operational and administration standards through the issuance of our Part 135 Certificate. In 2006, we came to recognize the need to do something more to demonstrate to customers that we run one of the most professional charter businesses in the country. That "something more" has been to work towards accreditation to not one but two aviation quality systems - Aviation Resource Group (ARG/US) Platinum Audit Standards and The Wyvern Standard. These two firms are recognized as the top independent audit firms in the United States and their requirements far exceed government regulatory oversight. The process for accreditation involved permitting small teams of aviation management professionals to explore the way in which we conduct our business in every aspect of operations, safety, flight, recruitment, training, scheduling, in-flight performance and maintenance. Anyone familiar with ISO 9000 will appreciate the scope and depth of the examination to which we opened up our business. Accreditation was not easy and furthermore, we must continue to perform to the same standards of excellence to retain our credentials with both organizations. Dominion Aviation is Wyvern Consulting, Ltd recommended and is ARG/US Platinum Rated. Out of the approximately 3,500 certified charter companies in the United States, there are only 52 that hold the prestigious Platinum Rating (as of December 2006).
